Over 200 hoax bomb threats from Russian domains were sent to polling places and ballot-counting locations across the country during the 2024 US Presidential Election, and disproportionately targeted mostly Democratic counties.
A complete list of bomb threats and locations is more difficult to gather but includes the following:
Arizona - 10 counties (Cochise, Coconino, Gila, La Paz, Maricopa, Navajo, Pima, Pinal, Yavapai & Yuma)
California - 7 counties (Kings, Los Angeles, Norwalk, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, & Santa Clara)
Florida - 1 county (Duval)
Georgia - 5 counties (with 60+ threats)
Maryland - 15 counties
Michigan - 4 counties (Washtenaw, Wayne, Genesee & Saginaw)
Oregon - 8 counties (Croos, Deschutes, Grant, Jefferson, Malheur, Morrow, Multnomah, & Umatilla)
Pennsylvania - 34 counties
Wisconsin - 2 counties (Dane & Madison)
In the non-comprehensive table below, 13 of 18 counties and 61 of 66 bomb threats called in on Election Day were in places Biden won in 2020.
The FBI confirmed these bomb threats originated from Russian domains. Political slant aside, this already marks foreign interference in America's efforts for free and fair elections.Â
